The Carcassonne Game Festival 2024, held on September 7-8, once again transformed the Medieval City into a playground for board game enthusiasts and fans of medieval activities. This free event, organized by the Carcassonne Tourist Office in partnership with Asmodee and Hans Im Glück, welcomed visitors of all ages with a wide range of activities.

A highlight of the festival was the French Carcassonne Championship, where top players competed in the very city that inspired the famous board game. Visitors also enjoyed a treasure hunt, Carcassonne game tables, and artisanal workshops, including calligraphy and shield-making​.

This year’s edition captivated both newcomers and seasoned players with new attractions like the giant Carcassonne game and Meeple bowling, along with unique artisan demonstrations. If you missed this year’s edition, don’t worry—next year’s festival promises even more excitement.
